Don't judge me. I'm only two months late...better late than never, right?
Cole had his 2 year check up and he is surpassing his milestones and some of the 3 year ones as well! My only concern was that he knows all of his letters and his numbers but he is horrible at colors. So, I asked the doctor when we should be concerned about this and she assured me that as long as he can recognize 3 out of 5 colors by his 3 year appointment, he was fine. I felt better knowing that we had a year to work on this, but I was still a little concerned. Then, literally that afternoon when we got home, Cole was playing with his magnetic letters on the fridge and he arranged them in rows according to color! Seriously? After making me look like a fool in front of the doctor he goes and does that! Then, he started sorting his blocks by color as well. At least we know he's not colorblind...he's just doesn't care about what colors things are I guess.
Anyway, here are his stats and, his 2 year photos :)
Height: 34" Weight : 27lbs 8oz
Clothes size 18-24 months, diapers size 5, shoes size 6
Favorite foods: waffles with peanutbutter and strawberry jam, hot dogs, any fruit!
Sleeping: 1.5-2 hour naps, 11 hours of solid sleep at night
Favorite toys: trains, planes, dinosaurs, and legos
Favorite books: The "How do Dinosaurs..." Series, "The Lorax" & Clifford
Favorite show: Dinosaur Train, Zaboomafoo Dinosaurs
Vocabulary: Too many words to count, and he talks ALL DAY LONG! Seriously, the kid talks our ears off and you would think that at 2 you wouldn't be able to understand much of what he says, but he makes total sense about 85%-90% of the time. And, not only does he talk, but he has the best memory of any person I know. The child retains EVERYTHING! Rule of thumb, don't make a promise or mention something to Cole unless you intend to follow through because he'll bring it up over and over again. I told him 3 days ago that Gea and Grandpa were going to take him to buy a triceratops when they come next week and everyday he asks if today is the day they're coming to get him a triceratops. He even asked if we could go to their house today and get it!
Potty Training: I'm sure this is going to be blank for about another year or so...
Temperament: He seriously is a sweetie. Though he's constantly busy, he's very affectionate and puts a smile on our faces more times than not. Due to playgroup, he's becoming so much better at sharing and taking turns with other kids and being gentle, all of which will come in handy in 2 months. He has his 2 year old moments, but I'd say he gets easier everyday. If I only had 1/4 of his energy, he'd be really easy!
