Then later that night, daddy flew over and Katie, Wade and Matilda joined us. It was the first time Tilly and Lainey met and they're already so cute together. On Saturday, we went to Makawao (which is an old cowboy town) and we watched the parade. At the beginning of the parade, the kids can participate in a stick horse race, so, of course, Cole had to be decked out for the race, which he didn't really want to participate in once it started! He looked cute though, which is important, right?!
All ready for the big race!
He raced a little, but not much...maybe next year!

On Sunday, we went to the beach with the family and then had a big bbq dinner at Tutu and Gpaw's house and on Monday we did the same thing, but went up for dinner at the Baldwin's (Ben's Aunt and Uncle) beautiful new home.He raced a little, but not much...maybe next year!

My favorite picture from the whole weekend!
Unfortunately, daddy had to go home Monday night (and Cole was crying so hard he made Tutu and mommy cry too!) but we stayed until Thursday because Ben's cousin, Michael, and his wife, Kristen, came into town from Chicago with their two kids, Lucas and Owen. Lucas is 9 months older than Cole and Owen is 9 months older than Alaina. The boys had such a fun time playing! I wish we lived closer so the boys could always play. On Wednesday night on the ride home from the Baldwin's Cole kept saying, "What a nice day. I went to the beach, found a crab, put him in a hole, he climbed out, I played in the sand with Lucas, I went up to Aunt Sally's, we cooked marshmallows, I ate them, then I ate Aunt Katie's brownie. It was a nice day!" I would have to agree with him, it was a nice day and a really nice week and a half on Maui with the family!
